The Gift of The Father

While writing this, I had to do some research in order to differentiate a gift from talent because some assume them to be the same. But my literal findings seem to make them the same. Nevertheless, in upcoming post, I will show you some differences between gift and talent.

For the sake of this post;
A gift is something received without charge or effort.
The giver of a gift gives voluntary.
However, a receiver of a gift is expected to make use of that gift.
What am driving at is simply to inform you that we (the body of christ) have a gift from God and it's expected of us to use it and work for Him and to His glory.

There are many gifts but all are of same spirit. Just as our body has different parts with different functions and are dependent to another i.e cannot do without the other, so are we - the body of Christ.

(Romans: 12:4-8) "For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness".
To some are given the gift of prophecy, healing, giving, teaching, encouraging, teaching, serving etc.

The most important thing is to discover your gift, and to use it effectively. Do not envy another's gift for they are all of same spirit and to the service of God.

Some given the gift of serving feel too big to serve but remember their is a judgement and a reward attached to how well we used our gift.
If everyone wants a particular gift as seen in the church of God today, there will be no progress.

Each one of us is given in proportion to his or her faith and God is expecting us to use if effectively.

Conclusion;
Serving God with your gift attracts blessing to one for the gift of man maketh a way for him.
When we as a member of a body(church) fail to use our gift given to us, we are actually hindering the work of God through us and also minimizing the general output of the church.

Prayers:
    God show me my divine gift

    God help me to use this gift effectively to Your glory
